The City has been overwhelmed with construction projects in progress during Summer 2025. City residents in different areas of the community have dealt with water shut-offs, unpaved streets (sometimes, no street at all), off-site mail delivery, dust, noise, and the side effects from construction projects. The residents have also been very patient and understanding. Very few calls have come to City Hall regarding the inconvenience of the projects. This is a credit to the residents. City staff, the contractor, and the City’s engineering firm, have all went to great effort to make information available and answer questions about the project.
Infrastructure replacement is messy, disruptive work. The City also put off road repair on some of these areas for years because we knew this project was coming. I think after all is completed and we are driving on new pavement and grassy areas have been repaired in these areas of the community; it won’t take long to forget the inconvenience that we have had to deal with. But for right now, we appreciate the patience and understanding that those dealing with construction projects in you front yard.
