Ellie Mae Lyon peacefully took her final rest in the arms of her loving parents on July 9th, 2025 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn.
Ellie was born on July 3rd, 2025 at Rochester Methodist Campus to Aubrey and Matthew Lyon. She is the answer to their prayers and they waited for her birth with joyful expectation. Ellie was immensely loved and brought joy and laughter to those around her. Despite her brief time on earth, many memories were made. There was always hope to bring Ellie on tractor rides and to share the love of steam engine shows with her mom and dad. Thanks to her amazing NICU team, she was able to go outside and capture photos with their family John Deere tractor.
Ellie will be forever missed and in our hearts, always. Though hearts ache with sorrow, there is comfort in the blessed certainty that Ellie is now resting in the loving embrace of Our Lord and Savior.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 15th at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Zumbrota, Minn. Pastor Rob Edward's officiated. Visitation was from 4-7 p.m., Monday, July 14th, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Larson Chapel, Zumbrota and for one hour prior to the service at the Church.
