Goodhue County Child & Family Collaborative Accepting Proposals to Strengthen Resilience & Protective Factors

Red Wing, MN  – The Board of Directors of the Goodhue County Child & Family Collaborative is announcing a funding opportunity for a three year period, beginning July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2029. The mission of the Goodhue County Child & Family Collaborative is to work in partnership to build strong families and resilient children. The Board is accepting proposals to fund projects that further the Collaborative’s goal to strengthen resilience & protective factors of families, schools, and communities. Protective factors are:

• Parental resilience
• Social connections
• Concrete support
• Knowledge of parenting and child development
• Social and emotional competence in children
• Nurturing and attachment

Applications will be accepted from public schools, governmental agencies, and 501(c)(3) organizations.

Proposed projects must primarily serve children and families in the Cannon Falls, Goodhue, Kenyon, Wanamingo, Lake City, Red Wing, and Zumbrota-Mazeppa school districts. Grant awards are usually awarded for amounts of $4,000-$40,000. Applications must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025.
