A couple rain showers dampened the fairgrounds during the Goodhue County Fair August 11-15 but they didn't dampen the desire of the crowd waiting to enter the grandstand for the Friday night autocross.
Ben Thomforde heads into the Friday night autocross at the Goodhue County Fair. Ben competed in the demo derby last year but this year his friends got him to try autocross for the first time. Ben estimated his expense as only $100 after adding a box and working with his dad, Jeremy to prepare the truck given to him by Dicke-Do Dairy. He was one entrant away from qualifying for Friday's feature but the truck is still usable for future competitions.
