GWP County Breastfeeding Coalition meets quarterly; currently facilitated by Tina Moen, Wabasha County Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) Coordinator. There was discussion during the meetings that it would be nice to have a lactation space at the county fair, increasing access for breastfeeding. Working with SHIP to fund the project, the coalition brainstormed about how to maximize the use of the tent. We are proud to inform you that the tent is available for check out.
Do you have an upcoming community event and need a place for breastfeeding? Contact Wabasha County Public Health to check out our tent made available with SHIP support. Call 651-565-5200 or email.
