The Seniors have been discussing ways of making money for our class trip and thinking of the jobs that we obtain after leaving school.
The Senior Mother club held a bake sale Saturday, Oct. 20. We want to thank everyone who contributed toward it.
Obituaries
MRS. EMIL FREIHEIT
Mrs. Emil Freiheit, 65, former resident of this area, died Monday evening, October 15 at a Rochester hospital of pneumonia. She had been in ill health the past four years.
The former Alice Krinke was born in Cavalier, North Dakota to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Krinke on December 20, 1890 and the year of 1892, the family moved to Mazeppa, where they made their home until 1910. At this time, the family moved to Lake City, Minn. She was married to Emil Freiheit, Sept 4, 1912.
WILLIAM G. JARRETT
William G. Jarrett of Roundup, Mont., passed away Sept. 28. He was 82 years of age.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, William, Edward, and Jimmy, all of Washington, D.C. and three daughters, Mayme and Lorraine of Roundup, Mont., and Gladys of Great Falls, Mont.
Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Pfeiffer and JC attended the funeral. Mr. Jarrett was an uncle of Mrs. Pfeiffer.

R & B Opening Slated for Nov. 2-3
The grand opening of the completely remodeled R & B Jack Sprat store will be featured this week-end with prices and new low prices on much of the merchandise.
The store, which was purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Reider Tommeraas from the late C.G. Helgerson in August, has been completely changed. Groceries and now on a self serve basis, at the front of the store, and dry goods are displayed at the rear. The interior was redecorated, and new front installed.
The grand opening will feature 25 free prizes, including a portable Trav-Ler TV set, and 17 free bags of groceries. All may register any time this week and need not be present at the drawing, which will be held 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
RICHARD REUTER ADDRESSES HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Richard Reuter of Mazeppa addressed a meeting of The Wabasha County Historical Society at the city hall in Wabasha, Monday evening. He is president of the local Farmers Union.
Mr. Reuter addressed the 40 persons present on farm problems.

John Rolands honored on 40th Anniversary
Approximately 150 friends and relatives attended an open house Sunday and evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Roland in honor of their 40th wedding anniversary.
Assisting were the couple’s daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jim Roland, Mrs. Franklin Ohm of Elgin, and other daughter Miss Pat Roland, and Mrs. Archie Stull, sister of Mrs. Roland, acted as hostess. Mrs. George Majerus was in charge of the kitchen.
