Posted

The MAHS new building is being built by Custom Post Frame of SE Mn., owned by Dan Meyer & Dan Smith. It is a Wick building out of Wisconsin.

The building is 48’ x 64’ & will house the “1896 Two-Man Hose Cart”, huge school display, along with items too big to be in the current building.

The first historical item was installed on May 29th, by Dan Meyer, Denny O’Brien, Dan Smith & Mike Holtorf. “Holtorf Airport “was owned by Mike’s dad, Victor Holtorf from 1946> 1956. In 1956, a big wind storm came & destroyed the hanger, which 3 planes were lost. No insurance was held on that building. Where the Holtorf Airport was & is now Steeplechase. The runway ran west to east.

With the great progress, the building should be open for Mazeppa Daze, July 11, 12 & 13th.
