Off Season storage is anything that you won’t be using for a few months, you relocate it to another area to make more room for what you will be using “now”. It is easier to get at what you need to use, and the stuff you aren’t using doesn’t need be in the way. We have a lot of things we move around at home, at work at MotoProz, and at the cabin that we swap out each season.
Decorations are the first thing that comes to mind when I think of off-season storage. Christmas, Thankgiving and Easter. I don’t really enjoy putting them up and taking down, but Christmas is the big one I decorate for. I like to keep the rest to a minimum, unless I really love something. I have a few Christmas decorations at home that stay up all year around, and I don’t care what anyone thinks about it.
Next, there is off season clothes—Boots, snow pants, winter jackets, stocking hats, mittens, gloves and now time to get out the life jackets, shorts, capris, flip flops, t-shirts and tank tops. It’s also time to put away the sweaters and thick jeans! You get the idea…
When you don’t have a lot of space and you have a lot of stuff; swapping out for the seasons is a great way to help stay organized.
