Zumbro Falls City Council Minutes - November 12, 2025
The Zumbro Falls City Council met at City Hall at 6PM. Absent from the meeting was council member Eric Winters and Fire Chief Scott Kennedy.
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor. The clerk read to council the minutes from the October meeting which were accepted as read by a motion from Anderson, seconded Benson, all in favor, carried.
Treasurer’s report followed with acceptance by a motion from Benson, seconded Anderson, all in favor, carried.
A motion was made by Benson, seconded Anderson, all in favor, carried to accept donations to the Fire Department totaling $400 ($200 from Emery Bremer and $200 from Sandra Stopyro).
Mayor Heitmann informed the council that continued grease build-up in the city's waste water system required the lift station to be pumped. The mayor also mentioned that the street light on Appledale is scheduled to be fixed by Xcel Energy in the coming weeks.
The council reviewed outstanding water and sewer payments and approved submitting a special assessment for those unpaid amounts to the county to be recovered via property taxes. A motion to approve these assessments to be known as Resolution 25-04 was made by Anderson, seconded Heitmann, all in favor, carried.
The meeting then adjourned around 6:45 pm with all bills presented to be paid by a motion from Anderson, seconded Benson, all in favor, carried. The next council meeting will be held December 10th.
