The Zumbro Falls Lioness/Lions in conjunction with the City of Zumbro Falls and local businesses hosted a National Night Out event on August 5 in the city park. City leaders shared that the event hadn’t been held in over five years due to declining attendance. Club members were cautiously optimistic that we could spark interest in the community to gather with their neighbors for a few hours on this one evening. Local businesses were contacted to help share the information. With their support, the club was able to offer prizes for games and give door prizes throughout the evening. We were fortunate to have representation from the ZF Fire Department, local EMS, and county and state law enforcement at the event. We want to thank everyone for attending and hope you enjoyed the event. We didn’t know what to expect, but we were definitely thrilled to see so many families and neighbors in attendance!
